ABOUT THE STUDIO
Inspired by a son. Brought to life by his dad.
Shadow Sight Studios exists because a kid had an idea he wouldn't let go of, and his dad happened to be a software engineer and a lifelong gamer with the means to build it.

How it started
It began the way most good things in a house with kids do — a story told out loud. A cat, a spirit, a world worth exploring. The kind of idea that keeps coming back at dinner and on car rides until someone finally says, “alright, let's actually make it.”
That someone was his dad: a ten-year Navy veteran, a career software engineer, and a gamer who has been playing, dissecting and arguing about games for as long as he can remember. The result was Cat Spirit RPG, our first game and the reason this studio has a name.
That partnership is still the model. The kids bring the ideas — creatures, powers, places, the stuff that sounds fun before anyone worries about whether it's feasible. The engineering, balance and polish come from someone who knows what makes a game worth coming back to.
What we believe
The idea comes first, and it comes from a kid
Before there's a design document there's a kid explaining something he wishes existed. That's the brief. Our job is to take it seriously enough to build it properly.
Kid-friendly isn't kid-shallow
Games made for younger players too often assume they can't handle depth. Ours assume the opposite — easy to pick up, with real systems underneath worth learning.
Built by someone who's actually played them
Every combat decision, every progression curve, every quality-of-life detail is filtered through decades of playing games and noticing what respects a player's time.
Small on purpose
We ship at the pace a family studio can sustain. No publisher deadlines, no features nobody asked for — just steady work on things we'd want to play ourselves.
